Mobile Tower Crane 1949
In the reconstruction of Germany after the Second World War, there was a need to cultivate talent and develop skills. Hans Liebherr quickly recognised the demand for tools and machinery within the construction industry and the domestic building sector. In 1949, he developed the mobile tower crane, a crane that could be easily assembled on site, enabling rapid and cost-effective construction. He propelled and streamlined Germany's reconstruction efforts, laying the cornerstone for the organisation. The TK10 represented the beginning of a sustainable success story.
