The option to fit the new parallel linkage is particularly suited to medium duty cycle and pallet handling applications and will complement the existing Z-type parallel linkage - which provides high breakout torque - but is now suitable for a wider range of applications. With an increased top speed of 20 km/h, Volvo says the L25 Electric can move faster to the next job.

The new electric parking brake with hill hold function is an automatic feature for operators working on any construction site, especially on slopes or rough terrain. Since the disc brake in the previous model has now been replaced by a spring-applied and hydraulically released wet disc brake, the associated maintenance requirements have been eliminated. A more ergonomic joystick also improves operator comfort.

For those operators working in colder climates, thanks to the new programmable cab heater option, they can now choose the time and day of the week to access the preheated and defrosted cab. Regular use of the machine now eliminates the need to reach under the hood to turn off the main switch at the end of a shift.
