The option to install the new parallel linkage is particularly suited to medium-load cycle and pallet handling applications, complementing the existing Z-type parallel linkage – delivering high breakaway torque – but now applicable to a wider range of tasks. Volvo states that with maximum speed increased to 20 kilometres per hour, the L25 Electric can move more swiftly to the next job site.

The new electric parking brake with hill-hold function serves as an automatic feature for operators working on any construction site, particularly on slopes or uneven terrain. As the disc brakes in the previous model have now been replaced by spring-applied, hydraulically released wet disc brakes, the associated maintenance requirements have also been eliminated. A more ergonomically designed lever further enhances operator comfort.

For operators working in cold climates, the new programmable cab heater option now allows them to select the time and date of the week for preheating and defrosting the cab. When using the machine regularly, there is no longer any need to reach under the bonnet to switch off the main power at the end of a shift.

Faster off-board chargers at 9.6 kW and 17.3 kW can still deliver quicker charging.
