Young Minnesotans skipping college for trades: report

Since 2013, the Minnesota State Colleges andcollegeenrollment in the system has dropped by 281 TP3T, and many students are abandoning higher education to seek construction and othersectorof career opportunities.

WCCO News aired a story featuring former college students now working for Lindus Construction, a residential contractor in the Minneapolis/St. Paul's Market. These employees started college, then were hired by Lindus and eventually moved into full-time employment.  

“I focus on young people coming out of high school and we try to mold them into artisans,” Andy Lindus told WCCO.
