Young people in Minnesota are skipping university for industry: report

Since 2013, Minnesota State Colleges andUniversityThe system's enrolment figures have declined by 281, with many students abandoning higher education to pursue careers in construction and similar fields.Industrycareer opportunities.

WCCO News broadcast a report featuring former students now employed by Minneapolis/St. Paul-based residential contractor Lindus Construction. These individuals commenced university studies before being recruited by Lindus, ultimately progressing to full-time positions.  

“I focus on young people who have just finished secondary school, and we strive to mould them into skilled craftsmen,” Andy Lindus told WCCO.
