Komatsu and Honda Partner to Produce Electric Micro Excavators in Japan

Thanks to electrification, the PC01E-1 model not only greatly reduces noise and heat exhaust, but also enables environmentally friendly and comfortable work in indoor or outdoor environments because there is no exhaust gas. Since the battery is replaceable, customers can continue working by replacing the battery.

Komatsu says the PC01E-1 model achieves more digging at low speeds than conventional models because its new electric motor delivers high performance even at low speeds. Since there is no engine installed, customers will no longer need engine-related maintenance or refueling, reducing routine inspection and maintenance.
